SINCERE Encounters - the general idea

SINCERE Encounters are informal meetings between SINCERE project members and stakeholders in a pilot building to get to know each other and discuss ways in which SINCERE's intervention can be more productive and beneficial for all.

The Inwadar Encounter

The Inwadar encounter in the context of SINCERE's 4th general assembly. Before the plenary meeting, the University of Malta organized a guided tour on sites of interest including the Inwadar's Searchlight Post Malta, which was proposed as an additional project pilot site, run by the University of Malta.

The SINCERE consortium visited the site on April 7, 2025 and had the chance to meet with Dr. Steve Borg from the Inwadar National Park, who gave a voice to this small building, which has seen so much and now is ready to get a new function.

The "Daughter of the Wind" (or "Bint ir-Riħ" in Maltese) is the popular name of the new pilot site which used to throw light on war planes to make it easy to take them down. And now it will become a sky observatory, collecting light from the skies for educational purposes.
